Pregnancy Blog

I have created another blog to track the adventures of my pregnancy. I will post all the updates on there so I can, hopefully some day, turn it into a book. So look for updates on the pregnancy there, and of course I will still post some updates here. There is a link to the pregnancy blog on the right side of our page.

Oh and by the way......

Yep it's true! I am pregnant! I am about 11 weeks and my due date is Feb 21st! (Mine and my brother's birthday, can you believe it!!!!) We are very excited, we can't believe it is really happening! We had another doctor's appt today and she did an ultrasound so we got to see our little bean. Little baby was moving around tons, the doctor had to keep telling him/her to hold still so she could get a picture, haha. (Will post the picture soon!) It was amazing! Being pregnant hasn't been the easiet thing so far. I have been quite sick, I don't know why people call it morning sickness, its more like 24 hour sickness. And I am always exhausted, it seems like I can't ever get enough sleep. But I just keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end! I will keep updating on how things are going! We are VERY excited!!!!!!

Nikell's Baby Shower

On Saturday, Aug 1st, Tonya and I threw a baby shower for Nikell. We had it at my house and we served lunch and played some fun games. It turned out really nice and we had lots of fun. Nikell got lots of cute things, especially clothes, for baby Sophie. We can't wait until baby Sophie arrives!

Jace and I went to Denver over the weekend of the 24th. My mom and sister were there visiting my grandparents and cousins for my sister's birthday. We left wednesday night and came home Sunday. It was an awesome trip, too short, but awesome! When we got there on Thursday we went with Grandma, Grandpa, and Mom to Loveland to see the sculpture park and then got ice cream. Friday, the 24th, was Madi's birthday so us, mom, madi, grandma, grandpa, aunt cindy, kaylee, and carly went to this fun place called Boondocks. We rode go-carts, played mini golf, arcade games, laser tag, and ate pizza. Unfortunately it was the hottest day of the year in Denver but it was still fun. After Boondocks we went back to Aunt Cindy's house for presents, cake and icecream. On Saturday, Jace and Grandpa went golfing and while they were golfing, mom, Madi, Grandma, and me went up to Estes Park and did some window shopping. I loved Estes Park, it was so beautiful! Overall it was a great trip and it was awesome to get to spend time with everyone. Hope we get to see them all again soon!

Camping Trip 2009

The Wittwer Family went on a fun camping trip earlier this summer. We went up by Tropic Resevoir and spent the weekend. It was filled with lots of fishing, games, good food, and lots of laughter. We had one little, pretty funny, experience. When we first arrived at camp, Dallen went to start getting stuff out of the tent trailor and he opened the door to quite the surprise. The cat had climbed inside the tent trailer while we were loading it at home and had made the almost 3 hour ride up to camp with us. We couldn't believe it! At first we all laughed so hard and then realized, what the heck are we gonna do with this cat now?!? So if you are wondering what the picture of the crate with a box on top is all about, that became the cats home for the weekend. Poor cat, shouldn't have been so curious. Anyways it was a fun trip and we look forward to the next one!

Fishing at Sand Hollow

A couple weekends ago Jace and I went and spend a few hours fishing at Sand Hollow. We waded in about waist deep and just fished. We caught a couple of little fish. I had never been to Sand Hollow before and I am so glad I finally did, it is beautiful! But we did have a little bump in the road afterwards. When we were on our way home, Jace's legs started itching uncontrollably, he was miserable. So as soon as we walked through the door at home, he went straight to the shower. After his shower he felt a little better but still pretty itchy. It got better as the rest of the day went on but then the next day he woke up to a not so good surprise. He had red bumps all over his legs, they looked like mesquito bites, and they itched. We had no idea what they were so we asked Nikell (biology major) and she told us all about this thing called swimmer's itch (thanks for all the info Nikell!). Pretty much its a little parasite that lives in the lake, mainly along the shoreline, and gets in your legs and makes you itch. Some people get it and some people don't, I am SO glad I didn't get it. Anyways, it has been over a week ago and they are finally starting to go away a little bit. Sorry babes, guess we wont be fishing like that at Sand Hollow anymore! Here are some pictures from our fun day...
