Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. My mom, dad and sister came from Georgia and my brother came down from BYU-Idaho to visit. It was great having them here and getting to spend time with them. Of course the dinner was amazing! We ate at Nani and Papa's house and Nani made the best turkey dinner ever!! It was great, too bad they couldn't stay longer!

You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

My Husband

I saw this on someones blog and thought it was cute, and I am really missing my husband right now so I thought I'd try it....

1). How did you meet? Jace and I actually met through a blind date. A mutual friend Mike set us up on a date. I knew Mike from living at the dorms at the college and Jace and Mike were in the same MTC district together. So, Mike set Jace and I up on a date and we double with him and his girlfriend at the time. We went down to Mesquite and had dinner and went bowling. I was kind of nervous about it because I had never really been on a blind date and the drive down to Mesquite could have been a little awkward, but it definitely was not! We had an amazing time and instantly hit it off.

2). How long did you date before you were married? We date for about a year before he proposed then we were married about 5 months later, so about a year and 5 months.

3.) How long have you been married? We have been married for a year an a half. Our 2 year anniversary will be on March 10th.

4). What does he do that suprises you? He does lots of things that surprise me. Sometimes I will come home from work and he will have cleaned up the house for me, or things like that. He also says things that surprise me. He will say random things that are so sweet and adorable that just make me melt.

5). What is your favorite feature of his? I would have to say I love it when he smiles. When he is really happy or laughing really hard, I love his face, his smile and the way he scrunches his eyes.

6). What is your favorite quality of his? I love how hard working he is. Whether it is school or work, he will always try his hardest and do his best. I also love how caring he is. He really cares about the feelings of others and what makes others happy.

7). Does he have a nick-name for you? Well of course he calls me babes but there is also another nickname he calls me that is quite embarrassing actually. Sometimes when I am tired or hungry or just plan onery, I can get a little riled up and when I do he will call me a Hannus beast, haha. When he does call me that I usually end up laughing and it makes me feel better. So I can't get too mad at him for calling me a beast because it is really funny.

8). What is his favorite color? green

9). What is his favorite sport? He loves every sport but he is a DIE HARD utah jazz fan. He counts down the days until basketball season starts and he will watch every Jazz game.

10). What is his favorite food? I don't know if I can pinpoint a specific favorite food but he loves anything with meat! haha.

11). When was your first kiss? Our first kiss was a couple weeks after our first date. We were in the back of his truck looking at the stars, and it was after I had turned him down a few times.

12). What do you like to do together? Everything! We really do love to do pretty much anything with each other. We love to watch movies, go out to dinner, go on vacations, just sit at home and hang out together, go on fourwheeler rides, go camping, go to Vegas, and lots of other things. But I guess there are two things we don't really do together. Those would be shopping and hunting. On the days he goes hunting, I go shopping and vise versa, haha!

13). Do you have any children? Not yet!

14). Who said " I love you " first? Jace did. It was really cute. We were hanging out at my dorm room talking and I asked him to tell me a secret and he whispered something to me in Dutch and of course I couldn't understand him, but I had an idea of what he had said. So I asked him what he said and he said it again in Dutch, so I asked him one more time and he said he loved me and of course I said it back!

15). What is his favorite type of music? He pretty much loves everything, but his favorites are country and rap. It is so funny seeing him dance and try to rap!

16). What do you admire most about him? I admire everything about Jace. I admire how hard working and determined he is. I admire that he went on a mission, that he took me to the temple so we could be sealed together forever, his strong testimony, that he is only a half semester away from earning his Bachelors degree in communications, and how much he loves me and our families!

**Jace is the most amazing husband and I just love him so much! **

Good Things....

I have been thinking lately about things that are going on around the world, especially here in our country, and I feel like I need to realize the good things that we have in our life. Jace and I are truely blessed and have been throughout our marriage. So here is a list of good things in our life....
*General Conference: We are lucky enough to live in a place where we can easily access the General Conference broadcast. It was such a blessing to be able to spend our Sunday listening to the words of wonderful leaders. We are so lucky to have the gospel in our life.
*Statewide Recovery: Statewide provides Jace and I both with great jobs that enable us to have a wonderful life. We are extremely lucky to both be able to have jobs in a time where many people are having to struggle so much. Our jobs enable us to be able to afford to live in our beautiful home, each have a car to drive, and be able to do many other things that we enjoy. Working in the repo business has shown me how many people are struggling at this time and it has really helped me be able to better appreciate the things that we have and have been given.
*Our Home: Jace and I are so lucky to be able to rent our wonderful townhome from great friends for a great price. Our home is more then perfect for just the two of us right now and it has been a great place for us to live for the first years of our marriage.
*Family: We are very lucky to have such wonderful families. We are blessed to have Jace's family, my grandparents, and aunt and uncle living so close to us. It is great to be able to just drive down the road and be able to spend time with family. Also, we are blessed to have my family in Georgia. It is great being able to call up my mom and dad whenever I need someone to talk to or to just check in. It is also great to have a place for us to go and visit. I am also greatful for my little brother and sister. They are great and are both wonderful examples for me. I am so glad that Nate was able to go out to school in Idaho and that he is doing so well there! And Madi, she is so funny, it is great to be able to call the house and have her answer the phone and be able to talk girl talk with her! She is the best little sister ever!
*Temple: Jace and I are so lucky to be able to attend the temple and to have it so close to our home. We have not been the best about attending the temple, but are trying to be better and attend more often.
*Friends: We are so blessed with such wonderful friends. Jace grew up here in St. George and has an awesome group of friends that are very close with each other. They are great and their wives are amazing! We all have so much fun together and it is great to have all of them so close!
Well this is just a short list of good things in our life and there are many more! Jace and I are extremely blessed!

Day 2 in California

Johnny Depps hand and foot prints

The Beckhams House

Donald Duck's Feet

Will Smith's House

The LA Temple

Beverly Hills Sign

Tom Cruise's Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Kodak Theater

Jace at the Chinese Theater

On our second day in California we decided to take a drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to Hollywood. It was a fun drive, we got to see some cool sites on the way up there. When we finally got to LA we saw the LA Temple which was cool. We stopped and had lunch at a little burger place in West Hollywood and the burgers were delicious. After lunch, we went and parked at Hollywood Blvd. and walked a little bit of the Hollywood walk of fame. It was so cool to see all the stars on the sidewalk. We also went and saw the famous Chinese theater with all the cement squares with celebrities hand and foot prints, and we also saw the Kodak Theater where the Academy Awards are held. It was way cool. After seeing all that stuff, we took a tour through Beverly Hills and Hollywood. It was fun! We got in a big van with a bunch of other people and the tour guide took us down Sunset Blvd. and showed us all the hot spots and then to Beverly Hills and showed us a bunch of actors and actresses homes. We saw the homes of Will Smith, the Beckhams, Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, Sylvestor Stallone, and many others. One really cool house we saw was the Playboy Mansion, and as we pulled up to the mansion, a black Bentley pulled out of the driveway and Kendra was in it. It was funny! Also on the tour, we got to stop and walk down Rodeo Drive, which was awesome! I wish I could have gone shopping but it was a little out of my price range, haha. After Hollywood, we went back to Newport and drove down to the Balboa Pennisula. We had dinner on the pier at a little pizza shop then walked up the pier and Dallen and Jeff rode the Ferris Wheel. After walking the pier, we got on the ferry and road it across the bay. Overall, it was an amazing day and it was something I have always wanted to do! It was great!

Day 1 in California

Jace and Dallen at Newport Beach

Jeff, Jace, Tonya, and Dallen on the Pier at Newport

Huntington Beach

Me and Dallen at the Aloha Grill in Huntington

Guy riding a 12 foot unicycle

We left for Cali early Friday morning and got to Newport in the afternoon and we headed to the beach. It was amazing! I fell in love with Newport, with the beach, all the cute shops, the cute beach houses, and especially all the bike cruisers. I want to get my own cruiser to ride around St. George instead of spending so much money on gas. While at the beach we tested out the water, which was freezing, found a few sea shells, and then walked along the pier. It was awesome! After the beach, we went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. We drove up to Huntington Beach and had dinner at a Hawaiian Grill on the main street by the pier. After dinner we headed down the pier. While on the pier we watched a guy do some awesome tricks on a unicycle. He even road a 12 foot unicylce. It was cool. We also watched a couple of guys surfing in the dark, they were crazy! Overall, it was an amazing day.

My New Toy

So I have been wanting a new digital camera for a long time now and I finally caved and bought one today. It is a Sony Cybershot and I love it! I have been messing with it all day trying to figure out all the cool things it does. It takes amazing pictures and even records video with sound! It is awesome and I can't wait to try it out for real in California!

Craving some time at the Beach

I have been longing to go to the beach for a while now because it is one of my favorite places and I haven't been in over two years. Needless to say, its time for some quality time at the beach. So, for Labor Day weekend, Jace planned a trip for us to go to Newport Beach, CA. We are leaving on Friday morning and will be coming home on Monday. Along with going to the beach, we are also going to try and take in an Angels game as well, which will be lots of fun. I am way excited and cannot wait! I will make sure to take lots of pictures so I can post some on here when we get back. Its going to be great!

Job Searching

Well I am on the hunt for a job. I have interviewed for three jobs and haven't had luck with any of them. The most recent one, I was called back for a second interview and was in the top three out of 130 applicants, but it didn't work out. So, with that said, I am starting to get a little discouraged. Anyways, if anyone knows of any job openings in St. George, please let me know, I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Goodbye to Coyote Yard Care

Well, its official. Jace is done with his landscaping business. He gave some accounts and the equipment to his dad, and sold the rest of the accounts to his friend Willy. Willy officially took over today, so Jace is done. He is pretty excited about not having to mow lawns anymore. Its sort of sad to see Coyote go, but I must say I'm pretty excited that I dont have to wash grass stained and grass covered clothes, especially socks, anymore. haha. Anyways, Jace is going to enjoy his last couple weeks of freedom before his killer semester starts at the end of this month.

Tribute to my amazing husband

If you know Jace, you know he is one amazing guy. Well, Jace has been working nights as the repo man and I must say, he is one hot repo man. He demonstrated his greatness the other night. We had to make a trip out to Colorado City in search of a Yamaha Rhino and we were not at all expecting to get it.When we got to the address that we had been given we found that it was not the person we were looking for but instead an extremely nice and generous guy who happened to know where we needed to go. So, he climbed in the tow truck with us and showed us where the house was. As we pulled up to the house, low and behold, there was the Rhino. It figured that it was there and all we had was the tow truck. Fortunately, Jace's boss explained to him how to strap the Rhino to the boom on the tow truck. Anyways, after some struggles Jace figured it out and it worked wonderfully. We made it all the way back to St. George with no problems at all. As you are reading this you probably can't picture what this looks like, so I have included a photograph to document it. Anyways, Jace is amazing and I am so greatful for him and everything he does.

Us

I feel like I am always posting pictures of things and other people and so I feel i need to add some pictures of Jace and me. So here are some pictures of us from back in the day.

One of our favorite places...

Last weekend Jace, me, Nikell, and Ashton ventured up to Pine Valley to try out the Brandin' Iron steakhouse. It was awesome! It was our first time and even though it is a little pricey, it has become one of our favorite places for a nice night out. I had never been to Pine Valley before and I absolutely love it. I would love for us to have a cabin up there some day. It amazes me that we can be in St. George in 110 degree weather feeling like we are about to die, then after just a short 30 minute drive be in the mountains where the weather is beautiful. After our great dinner at the Brandin' Iron, we drove out on a dirt road and went spot-lighting. We were looking for any kind of wild life we could find and we actually saw quite a bit. There were tons of deer, even some big bucks, much to Jace's delight, and we even saw a bobcat! We couldn't believe it. We were all so excited, it made the night even more fun then it already had been. The next day, Jace took me back up to Pine Valley to see the camp ground and as we were driving through we saw a snake in the road. I couldn't believe it! It was just a little snake but it was still cool to see. Overall, it was a great weekend filled with lots of wildlife and lots of fun!

4th of July

This 4th of July was amazing! In the morning we drove up to Enterprise and had brunch with Jace's family, and then we watched the kids run in the foot races. It was fun, the kids get so excited and have so much fun racing! After Enterprise we came back to St. George and went to the Roadrunners game with Nani, Papa, Aunt Deb, Uncle Kim, and Jake. It was fun spending some time with all of them. Also, not only was it the 4th of July it was Nani's birthday! yay! After the game, we went back to Nani and Papa's house and Jace's parents, Jeff and Tonya, met us there and we all watched fireworks from there balcony because they have the most amazing view ever! Overall, it was a wonderful day and we can't wait for next year!

its been way too long....

oh my goodness, i am really sorry i've been so bad about posting lately. we got back from georgia on june 9th and life has been extra crazy since then. i will go through and try to give some updates of what we have been up to over the past month. well, our georgia trip was amazing, and it was very hard to come back and jump back into work and school. i have lots of great pictures but we havent been able to get the internet at our house for a while so i havent been able to post them from my camera, but i will keep trying. next, we got invited to go with our friend jory and his parents and some friends to lake powell! it was amazing! i had never been before and have been wanting to go for a long time! it was great! there were about 16 of us there and we stayed on their house boat at wahweap marina and took their ski boat out and went wakeboarding and tubing. it was seriously one of the best times of my life. i love lake powell! and i have vowed that i will someday have a house boat to keep there! after powell came the 4th of July. the 4th was fun. we woke up and drove up to enterprise to have brunch with jaces family and then watched the kids compete in the foot races. it was lots of fun. then we came back to st. george and went to the roadrunners baseball game with nani, papa, aunt deb, uncle kim, and jake. then we went back to nani and papas house and jeff and tonya came over and we watched the city fireworks from their deck because they have the most amazing view. overall it was a great holiday! then on july 5th we headed down to vegas because our friends joe and nyckie had a birthday party for their little girl, jadyn, who turned one year old. we had a huge water fight and got completely soaked. it was fun, i felt like a kid again. we ended up staying the night at their house and had tons of fun playing games, talking, and lots of laughing. it was great for us to spend some time with them because they are moving to oregon in a couple weeks and we arent sure when we will get to see them again! they are great friends and we will miss them tons, but we wish them the best of luck!! not much has happened this week. just been working and jace has his last two days of class for the summer and he cant wait for it to be done. i've applied and interviewed for a new job with stephen wade power sports and i am really hoping i get it because it would be the perfect job. so wish me luck! well, i dont have many pictures to go with this post but i did get my hair dyed a couple weeks ago and its quite a bit blonder so i will post a couple pictures of my new hair so everyone can see it! hope you like it! again, i will try my best to get our georgia pictures and some others posted before too long!

We LOVE Georgia!!!

Jace and I have been in Georgia now for about 10 days and it has been amazing! Georgia is seriously one of the most b-e-a-u-tiful places ever! I absolutely love all of the trees everywhere (they make some people clostrophobic, but not me, i love them), I love the beautiful weather, and I absolutely love the people in the South, their accents are so cool and they are so nice! Its been so much fun being back where I grew up, my accent has even come back slightly, YAY! haha! We have had so much fun with my family and their adorable dog Bentley! We've been to Nates high school graduation, got pedicures, spent a few days at their amazing swimming pool, jace and dad have played golf, had a scooter accident, major sunburns, blown car tires, maybe a new car for mom and even a Braves game! Anyways, so far it has been an amazing trip and I don't want it to end! We have two more days and I hope they go by really slowly. Well, I dont have anyway of hooking up my camera to this computer so pictures will have to come later when we get back to St. George. But here are a couple pictures I found on the internet, one of their neighborhood pool, the golf course, and Bentley when he was little.
